National Company with new Blackburn base wants the best local talent
A national company with offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Blackburn’s new Cathedral Quarter are hoping that they can bring more jobs to the area.
GovNet Communications, one of the latest companies to move into the brand new offices in Cathedral Square, are eager to expand their workforce in Blackburn and are encouraging people to stay local for high calibre jobs.
The company, which was formed in 1997, deliver innovative, thought-provoking and insightful events, ranging from conferences and exhibitions to training courses and forums, all of which are specifically for the public sector.
Sam Brown, manager of the Blackburn offices, said, “We are excited to be one of the first businesses to locate into the offices in Cathedral Square. Many of our colleagues, who travel to Blackburn from our other city locations, are impressed by the quality of the offices here and it has transformed people’s perceptions of what Blackburn can offer.
“We are keen to grow in Blackburn and expand into more office space and we want to encourage people who were originally from the area, who perhaps have moved away when they went to further education or following their graduation, to come and see what we have in their hometown.
“Many people believe that you must base yourself in the larger cities to get the rewards that their qualifications and experience deserve, but with companies like GovNet in state of the art offices, this is not necessarily the case anymore.”
GovNet are keen to recruit high calibre Advertising Sales Executives and Sponsorship Sales Executives. Candidates should preferably have 1 year’s proven experience and track record in selling business to business. Potential employees should have flair and experience in researching, sourcing their own leads, with high levels of creativity a confident sales negotiator and be comfortable in selling to high-level decision makers.
Francesca Pearce, who has been working for GovNet for 3 months said, “I was very attracted to the role because of the progression available with the company.
